Training

Belinda has been a trainer for 20 years, specialising in the legal framework for adults’ care and support. She trains anyone and everyone, as long as the brief is bearable.

NOT ‘Advanced care planning in 1.5 hours’, PLEASE!! It just can’t be done!

Her topics aren’t social work topics: they’re all about the legal framework underpinning the skills and tasks that public sector staff in assessment and care planning and safeguarding and commissioning have to use every day!

Whatever your background, and whether you’re a care manager, a purchaser or an advocate or a provider, with clients too vulnerable to stand up for their own rights, you need this stuff in difficult times!

Belinda charges between £750 and £900 + VAT for a half day
, plus travel and accommodation costs where necessary, and between £1350 and £1500 + VAT for a whole day or two shorter sessions.

Up to 40 people can be trained at a time, but smaller groups are better for discussion and scenario based training.

Here is some recent feedback
from a full day on Continuing NHS healthcare status and implications:

“I wanted to drop you a line, to thank you for a great day, everyone was blown away with your style and knowledge and we have benefited massively from the day.”

And here’s some from shorter training sessions, actually delivered by webinar (see the Webinars page on the top menu for my 2016-2017 on the whole of adults’ care law – with proportionate prices for individuals and small or large organisations):

“You more or less covered the entire Care Act (and legal ramifications) in an easily understandable, interesting and stimulating manner. I used to view Care Act advocacy with trepidation, but believe I now have the confidence to deliver it.”

“Thank you for an excellent presentation. I realise now that there have been some gaps in my knowledge around the legal aspect of Care Act advocacy and a copy of the presentation would be great so I can move forward on some reports.”

“I really enjoyed the webinar on Friday. Despite all the IT difficulties, including my own internet connection disconnecting for a few, I think crucial, minutes, it was still extremely informative and engaging!”
